Maes Myrddin Chwilog
Now a bus turning circle, formerly the site of Chwilog station on the Bangor/Caernarfon to Afonwen line. Maes Myrddin is named for Myrddin Fardd (the poet John Jones) who lived in a cottage just to the right of the picture.

Afon Wen ar ?l storm fellt a tharannau - Afon Wen after a thunderstorm
After a couple of hours of torrential rain the river heading under Pont y Felin illustrates both its modern name Afon Wen (White River) and its historic name Afon Carrog (Torrent River).
