Cottages near Penmorfa
The cottages are right next to the crowded graveyard of St Beuno's Church. The left hand building is the very substantial Lych Gate for the church.

St Beuno's Churchyard
The very large grave is apparently that of Sir William Maurice, reputedly buried with his horse in 1622. Sadly the plaque is too eroded to be legible. The church is now cared for by The Friends of Friendless Churches.

Eglwys Beuno Sant Penmorfa
A detail of the 19th-century carving around the sanctuary. The text is from St Matthew's Gospel: "Deuwch ataf fi bawb a’r y sydd yn flinderog ac yn llwythog" (Come unto me all ye who labour and are heavy laden). According to the Cambrian News of 27 April 1899 "All the woodwork...has been skilfully carved by Mrs Greaves (of Wern Manor) who has been engaged on the work for some two or three years."
