Ysbyty Newydd -New Hospital at Tremadog/Penmorfa
After much discussion, the building of a new hospital to replace Bron y Garth in Minffordd began in 2006. The new hospital will be known as Ysbyty Alltwen. Completion is expected in 2008.

Ysbyty Alltwen, Tremadog
Ysbyty Alltwen was opened in April 2009 and is one of the most modern and hospitals in Wales, built to an award-winning design. It is adjacent to the A487, to the north of Porthmadog.

The Alltwen Hospital
The hospital building which is nearing completion takes its name from the craggy scarp behind it which is called Craig Alltwen (white hill crag).

Ysbyty Alltwen Tremadog
After many delays in the planning, siting, building and commissioning of the new hospital, Ysbyty Alltwen finally opened for patients in April 2009.
