Cofeb rhyfel, Garreg
The Garreg war memorial tower was built in 1922 by Clough Williams-Ellis, responsible for so many of the village buildings and adornments. A sad recent addition to the memorial are photos and mementoes of the four Shropshire teenagers who died near here in November 2023, when their car left the road.

Village shop in Garreg
The centre of the community. Whilst Welsh is the normal language, it was certainly friendly. Unfortunately I couldn't get any local Welsh biscuits as the ones stocked here were made in Lancashire or Scotland.
