Barmouth Beach (North)
The huge expanse of sand at the north end of Barmouth. Lots of shells deposited along the beach. Shell Island is a few miles north and is famous for its shells.

Hendre Mynach Hall in 1955
This is the hotel in which we had our honeymoon. As the road layout has changed since then, the position on the map may not be very accurate. The hotel at that time was run by a Scotsman and it was famed for its delicious soups..

The houses are on Heol Llewelyn, facing the beach. The hill in the middle is Craig-y-Gigfran and has a memorial to Birmingham soldiers who died in the Battle of the Somme.
