Capel Seion Chapel (Bedyddwyr Albanaidd - Scotch Baptists)
This chapel, built in 1897, belonged to the small 19th century breakaway denomination of Welsh Scotch Baptists, set up following bitter quarrels and splits amongst the Particular Baptists. In all the movement had 9 churches in Meirionnydd. Though they worshiped entirely through the medium of Welsh, they modelled their system of beliefs on that evolved in the 18th century by the Scotsman Archibald McLean. In more recent times the Scotch Baptists have again became affiliated to the main stream Baptist movement.
