Ty Hers
Set against the churchyard wall is this 11kV electricity substation where in time past the hearse was kept. The plate on the door has the legend 'Ty Hers 10 7522 013'. 10 represents the district according to the old MANWEB designation, 7522 tells you that you are in that grid square and 013 is the substation number.

Gravestone memorial to George III
Inscribed "A.D. 1820, To The Memory of George the Third, King of Great Britain and Ireland..." and sited to the left of the spire of St Machreth church. It was placed there by Robert Williames Vaughan of Nannau

St Machreth, Llanfachreth
Medieval site on which a new church was constructed in the early C19 under the patronage of Sir Robert Williames Vaughan of Nannau, Bart.. All save the tower was again rebuilt in 1872 in plain Early English style.
