Eldon Square
A busy Eldon Square in 1980 on what looks like a market day. At this time the building straight ahead was occupied by Barclays Bank and the grey building on the right by Midland Bank (later to become part of HSBC). The building with white bay windows has H A Lewis, chemist as a street-level occupant and the brown and cream van on the left is a Madoc Marketing Company exhibition unit. A similar view in 2012, where it can be seen that the building ahead no longer houses Barclays and the one on the right displays an HSBC sign : Image]
