They are set above the main road, with no vehicle access, and are relatively unaltered from their original condition, apart from the paintwork and modernernised doors.

26, Sea View Terrace
Once known as the Bryn Awel Hotel, this fine 19th century seafront house was given a Grade II listing in 1951 (despite what's described as its "inappropriate pebbledash finish") as it's an otherwise well preserved example of the local domestic architecture. http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/wa-4641-no-26-sea-view-terrace-n-side-formerly-lis#.WI5bgNSLTGg

Literary Institute, Aberdovey
Set back from the south side of the A493. The village website records that the Literary Institute is one of the few buildings on the river/sea side of Aberdovey. It has had a long and chequered history. Founded in 1882, it was formerly an old bath house and a meeting place of the Plymouth Brethren. Nowadays its reading room is open to the public who are invited to enjoy the peace and tranquillity here while reading the daily papers. WiFi connections are available.
