Conwy Rhyolite
Adjacent to the old Bangor Road is a small quarry in the Conwy Rhyolite Formation.
Although it is a hard rock, it is not particularly useful because of its splintery nature, so this was probably used only locally for road construction.

Morfa Conwy ? 1964
Looking down on a passing freight train from Conway Mountain. It is interesting to see how the caravan park has developed in the years since, and of course there was no A55 Expressway https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1380973 . (My viewpoint was not quite so high up the mountainside.)
