A train heading for Manchester at the end of Avallon Avenue has just passed under the bridge at the end of Queens Road. The train is formed by a class 175 'Coradia' unit operated by Arriva Trains Wales.
New houses in the background occupy the site of the Marineland Service Station which used to stand on the Conway Road. For a view of this scene in 1951 see
