Glan Morfa Caravan Park
A residential caravan park on the south side of the railway. The houses with the red roof tiles are in Avallon Avenue on the opposite side of the railway.

Goods train coming off the Conwy Valley branch at Llandudno Junction
View eastward, towards Colwyn Bay and Chester on the ex-LNW North Wales main line, Blaenau Ffestiniog on the branch. The locomotive (running bunker-first) is LMS Ivatt 2MT 2-6-2T No. 41235 (built 9/49, withdrawn 11/62). A DMU recedes eastward on the main line.

Manchester - Llandudno express approaching Llandudno Junction
View eastward, towards Colwyn Bay and Chester: ex-LNW Chester - Holyhead main line, with the branch to Blaenau Ffestiniog curving away to the right up the Conwy Valley. This is the 13.40 from Manchester Exchange via Chester, with No. 44687, one of the two later Ivatt-modified Stanier 5MT 4-6-0s with double-chimney, Caprotti valve gear and roller-bearings (built 6/51, withdrawn 1/66).

The Chester - Holyhead main line east of Llandudno Junction
View eastward, towards Chester on the ex-London & North Western main line on a busy Summer Saturday. A Down Relief express (headed by Hughes/Fowler 5P5F 2-6-0 No. 42715) approaches, while an Up express retreats and on a branch train from Blaenau Ffestiniog waits at a signal in the right distance.

Train to Manchester
A train heading for Manchester at the end of Avallon Avenue has just passed under the bridge at the end of Queens Road. The train is formed by a class 175 'Coradia' unit operated by Arriva Trains Wales. New houses in the background occupy the site of the Marineland Service Station which used to stand on the Conway Road. For a view of this scene in 1951 see Image which is a fascinating contrast.

River View Terrace
A short terrace of houses on the south side of the railway, whose access is the old lane crossing the railway from the end of Queens Road. In the old days before the coming of the A55 Expressway, the lane led to the brickworks on the estuarine salt marsh.
