Wonder for how much longer......hmmmm. Built in 1863 by Thomas Owen as the St. George's concert hall was Llandudno’s first permanent place of entertainment. In the 1920's it was converted to give cinema shows and it continued as a cinema till 1957, when it was converted into a shop.

Tŷ Gobaith
The Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales http://www.coflein.gov.uk/en/site/16547/details/MOSTYN+STREET,+NO.+80,+LLANDUDNO/ describes #80 Mostyn Street as a Mid to late 19th Century two-storey plus attic building, with a ground floor shop. The front elevation is stuccoed, and the roof is slate tiled with two gabled dormers to the attic with sash glazing. On the ground floor the shop front has a modern shopfront with a deep fascia board, above which is a group of 19th century iron panels and cresting relating to 'Edward Owen & Sons, Purveyors of Meat...' and lettering 'Breeders', 'Farmers' and 'Purveyors'. The shop was unoccupied in May 2015 Image Previous occupiers appear to include "The Bakers Oven", "Publishers Book Clearance" and "Milletts (Camping & Countrywear) Ltd". Now it is a charity shop for the children's hospice Tŷ Gobaith http://www.hopehouse.org.uk/home.html

W H Smith and Post Office, Mostyn Street, Llandudno
This is now two separate businesses, but the name in the arcade glazing shows that Smith's once occupied all of it. The building is listed grade II (CADW reference 25360) 'for group value with adjacent listed buildings in Mostyn Street' but with no details of date or architect although it indicates it was probably a private residence originally.
