The Old School Lane Centre
This Grade II listed building was originally the National School, opened in 1846 as St George's School. It closed in 1993 when a new school was opened further along Church Walks. It was restored in 2002/3 and is now used for a wide variety of community uses.

Bod Alaw, Church Walks
There is a plaque on the gatepost of this house, stating that it was built by Jules Riviere, who also built a Concert Hall on the promenade. Jules Riviere was a seaside music pioneer, a conductor and also, in partnership W H Hawkes, began to make brass instruments.

Jules Riviere 1819 - 1900, Llandudno
A french-born conductor, bandmaster and showman Riviere wrote a number of popular musical pieces for the stage, such as 'Overture on Soldier's Songs'. He was the resident conductor of the Llandudno pier orchestra.

Former Girls' Friendly Society Hostel
The Girls’ Friendly Society had a lodge/hostel on Church Walks, Llandudno. A photograph in the Llandudno Record Office(CP3203/29/26) is described in the catalogue as being of the GFS lodge. The house is described as being in “Church Walks, Abbey Road”. Comparisons between the photograph and the buildings as they are now shows that this was what is now 36 Church Walks, currently housing the Jaya Indian Cuisine Restaurant.
The Girls’ Friendly Society provided safe accommodation and support for young women working away from home and it is possible that this lodge was used in the First World War by women coming to help on the land.

Bod Alaw, 40 Church Walks, Llandudno
The home of Jules Prudence Riviere, the seaside music pioneer.
Born in Paris in 1819, Jules Prudence Riviere began his life long musical career as a choir boy in France before going on to establish himself as a phenomenal French composer.
In 1887 he acted as musical director at Llandudno Pier Pavilion; during this time he pioneered the launch of the seaside promenade concert.
