Llandudno rooves
An alternative view of the town which shows how the growing town was furnished mostly with red clay tiles, very likely manufactured from the Etruria Marl which has always made good tiles wherever it was found. More modern houses in the foreground appear to have pressed concrete roof tiles.

William Morris Hughes 1862 - 1952 (Billy Hughes) although born in Pimlico, London spent a great deal of his early childhood in Wales. His mother died when he was 6 and he lived with his Aunt who ran a boarding house - Bryn Rosa - in Abbey Road, Llandudno. Grade: II listed. Source: Cadw Source ID: 25371 At the age of 22 he emigrated to Australia and subsequently became Labor Party Prime Minister, 1915–16 and Nationalist Party Prime Minister 1916–23. He had been a member of the House of Representatives for 51 years and seven months, beginning his service in the reign of Queen Victoria and ending it in the reign of Queen Elizabeth II. Including his service in the New South Wales colonial parliament before that, Hughes had spent a total of 58 years as an MP, and had never lost an election. Christ Church Llandudno
Christ Church Llandudno,understood not to be used these days as a place of worship,but which apparently now goes under the name of "Bonkerz Fun Centre" Interestingly, there is a plaque on the building commemorating Reverend Richard Parry,born in 1803,who established a chapel in Llandudno for both Welsh & English services, who is described as a prolific Welsh language author,and won ten eisteddfod chairs during his lifetime,"Gwalchmai" being his bardic name.
