The Grand Ash Hotel
According to the Llandudno Advertiser, Belgian civilian refugees were billeted at One Ash, now the Grand Ash Hotel, during the Great War.
It was also the HQ of the Coastal Artillery School in WWII and mainly offered administrative and logistical support to the regiment. Most of the staff were from the Women’s Auxiliary Territorial Service (ATS) who were also billeted at the hotel
