Carmen Sylva Road
Carmen Sylva was the non-de-plume of the poetess Queen Elizabeth of Romania who spent 5 weeks in Llandudno in 1890. Of the town, she said "it is a beautiful haven of peace". These words translated into Welsh "hardd hafan hedd" became the Llandudno's motto.
