A55 Expressway in Colwyn Bay 2
Here the A55 expressway occupies space that was originally part of the railway. The incline that is visible was originally a climb from the goods yard, which was situated in a former gravel pit. The near carriageway is cut into level formation that was occupied by the down-side goods lines. A glimpse of the past is here: http://www.2d53.co.uk/colwynbay/Goods.htm
