Post Office, Cross Keys, and War Memorial Hall
The Post Office, which is rarely open these days has thankfully been repainted from its previous ghastly shades of blue. The Cross Keys has recently changed hands. The War Memorial Hall has been converted into flats but no works have been undertaken for months and the for sales board has been taken down.

The Cross Keys Pub and The War Memorial Hall Glan Conwy
On a sunny Sunday afternoon these two buildings stand on Llanrwst Road. Sadly the Memorial Hall has fallen into disuse and disrepair due to lack of funds but in the past hosted amongst many things including a concert at Christmas for the local children (and parents) to participate in as inside there was a mini theatre. Opened in 1932 it contained at one time, three plaques Image] Image] listing those of the village who fell in the Great War, World War II and the Korean War. These have now been removed and are in Church House Image Various plans have existed over the years to convert into flats, all of which have failed to materialise. Ownership currently lies with Conwy County Council who have indicated that once a sale has been achieved the proceeds will be used for the benefit of the village. The Cross Keys was one of only two pubs left in the village, the other being Yr Aber - The Estuary (formerly known as the Conwy Vale which has now been demolished). Locals will tell you of just how many hostelries actually existed in bygone days. It was considerably more than two! Edited 19.10.17

Conwy Vale bus shelter Glan Conwy
Not quite sure why when on this gloriously sunny afternoon the light was on in the shelter! A suggestion has been made the capacitor / battery is full. If so why is the light still on.
