Ysgol Cystennin
The school on the Old Highway, Mochdre, takes its name from Cystennin which is the Welsh form of Constantine.
Constantine the Great was the Roman Emperor who became the first Roman ruler to embrace Christianity and who moved the power base from Rome to Constantinople, formerly the Greek city of Byzantium.
