Cayley Arms, Rhos on Sea
The Cayleys were prominent local landowners after which many landmarks in Rhos on Sea are named. The Cayley Arms commemorates Sir George Cayley, an aviation pioneer, who built a glider, the Cayley Flier, in 1853. This flew 900ft across Bromtpn Dale in Yorkshire before crashlanding - the first recorded flight of a fixed wing aeroplane.

Rhos Harbour from Cayley Promenade
The sheltered harbour at Rhos on Sea makes it a popular centre for fishermen. The rock breakwater which surrounds the picturesque harbour was built to combat floods caused when high tides coincided with strong north easterly winds.

Sapphire service
On Monday 7th July new buses offering superior comfort and amenities such as WiFi and charging sockets at seats were introduced to Arriva's coastal route 12. The vehicle is an Alexander Dennis Trident 2 with Enviro 400 body, fleet number 4543, registration number CX 14 BXF.
