Memorial to Sergeant Arthur Banks RAF. VR
The plinth reveals :- Born in Llandulas on 6th October 1923. He was tortured and executed by his captors on 20th December 1944 at Ariano, Italy. Posthumously awarded the George Cross. Presented to his father by King George VI. 'The righteous are in the hands of God and there shall no torment touch them'.
