Ornamental lake
Within the site of the North Wales Business Park pre-existing ponds and wetlands are retained for landscape amenity and for drainage. Late summer grass is all seed-head and dry stems in this view of the main, southern pond where reeds are beginning to establish on the margins.

Building 5325
The North Wales Business Park has been in gestation for 25 years. The first phase of buildings have been in occupation since the Autumn of 2007. This unit is occupied by the UK subsidiary of an Australian company specialising in automated electron-microscopy for material analysis.

Northern pond
The second pond on the Business Park is more natural in appearance as its banks have not been profiled and retain their original growth of reeds. The pipe at the bottom of the image is the overflow from the southern pond, and the drain can be seen in the northern bank in the distance. A new access road has recently been completed but is not yet shown on the map.

Kit construction

New access road
A new road has been created in the wilderness, ready for expansion of the premises on the Business Park. At present it ends at an enigmatic roundabout with no junctions. Topsoil is being spread for the verge of the road. We presume that the continuous pavement at the side is for the benefit of office workers taking the air at break times.

Landscape gardening
A Hitachi Zaxis 130B hydraulic excavator spreading topsoil from the bank in the background to form verges to the new access road on the North Wales Business Park. The road has not yet been surveyed by OS, so you won't find it on the map.
