The Old Post Office
This building was the site of the Post Office in the coaching days. The Ladies of Llangollen lodged here when they first arrived in Llangollen in 1780 before they moved to Plas Newydd.

Red tables in a row
The riverside beer garden at the Hand Hotel, the road to the right is the old A5 where all the Stage Coaches would have passed towards the hotels and stabling along Church Street and Bridge street. Some of the inns and hotels still retain their stable yards.

Courtyard of the Hand Hotel, Llangollen
The hotel may take its name from the "red hand" of the coat of arms of the Myddelton family of nearby Chirk, where there is a hotel of the same name. This one dates from the early 19th century and is grade 2 listed (CADW list entry 1162).
