The Old Mill Welsh shop
A rather unusual and rare building, tall and narrow, occupying a small plot on a back alley in the west side of the village centre. It's thought to be probably 18th century in origin and was erected as a flannel mill, then converted to a shop, and Grade II listed https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/300081151-old-mill-welsh-shop-ceiriog-ucha#.XVENj-hKhPY in 2003. The shop operation appears to have closed, and the building now seems to be a private residence. The listing describes it as "a rare survival of a very small mill in a village setting which retains its character", noting that there were others in the Ceiriog valley, most of which have been demolished or vastly altered.
