Commissioned by Sustrans and Artworks Wales, this mural was designed by Teena Gould and pupils from Prestatyn High School helped on this and another mural on the back walls (facing the sea) of the Nova Centre. Dechrau a Diwedd, Prestatyn
The name of the sculpture translates to English as 'Beginning and End". it marks the northern end of Offa's Dyke Path, some 177 miles north of its other beginning or end near Chepstow.
A good spot for the celebratory photo at the end of the walk - and there's some excellent and well deserved ice cream to be had close by!

Dechrau a Diwedd, Prestatyn
This sculpture is called Dechrau a Diwedd, which in English is 'Beginning and End'. It stands on the northern end of Offa's Dyke Path, a long distance 177 miles path roughly following the England and Wales border between Prestatyn and Chepstow. It's one of my favourite long distance footpaths and I walked it in 1999 starting from here in June of that year. This sculpture wasn't there then.
