'Joey' the wooden war horse
Joey, the life-sized wooden horse has taken residence at this Rhyl nature reserve.
The War Horse, inspired by Sir Michael Morpurgo's novel of the same name was carved in oak by chainsaw artist and former soldier, Ian Murray to honour the fallen.
The sculpture took more than 60 hours to complete and has been used to educate pupils about the sacrifice made by millions of British and Commonwealth soldiers and the vital role played by horses.
