Henllan Church
The church here at Henllan (old church) was founded in the 6th century by St Sadwrn. The separate tower dates from the 11th century.

This church is unusual in the fact that the tower is built apart from the church itself. There was a church on this site in the 6th century, but the present building dates from the 11th.

The plaque above the window is dated 1752 and also states "hyfforddia blentyn ym mhen ei ffordd a phan heneiddio nid ymedy a hi" - roughly translated "set a child on the right road and when she grows don't abandon her"

Medieval font at St Sadwrn's Church, Henllan
The medieval font, formerly functioning as the basin for a small well in the grounds of Llysmeirchion, on the opposite side of the river from the church, has now been returned to the churchyard where it is set beside the path leading to the church entrance.
