Old tomb, St Dyfnog's church
Set against the east wall of the church, this old tomb is that of John ap Robert of Porth, who died in 1642 aged 95. The inscription lists his pedigree, according to Welsh patronymics, John ap Robert ap David ap Gruffeth .... all the way back to Cadell King of Powys. Cadell ap Brochfael also known as Cadell Powys, was an 8th- and 9th-century king of Powys.

St Dyfnog's church, Llanrhaeadr - Golden Pelican
Copied in 1762 from the mythical bird above the Virgin's head in the Jesse window, the 'pelican' is feeding its young with its own blood, and in doing so, symbolises Christ's sacrifice for mankind.
