Two obelisks at Ystrad Road Cemetery, Denbigh
For two notable Denbigh men. On the right a memorial for Thomas Gee who was a Welsh Nonconformist preacher, journalist and publisher. Hisgreatest achievement was founding the Welsh newspaper "Banner Cymru" in 1857and this soon became regarded as an oracle in Wales. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Gee On the left is a memorial for Sir David S Davies who was a local Liberal politician who sat for Denbigh and was High Sheriff of Denbighshire in 1915. He married one of Thomas Gee's daughters, Emily.
