Timber roof, St Peter's Church, Ruthin
St Peter's was founded in 1310 as a collegiate church, by John de Grey. It has two naves (numerous in this region - there are over 20 double naved churches in Denbighshire - but very rare in other parts of Britain). Both naves have magnificent timber roofs which were added in the early Tudor period; this northern roof has decorated beams and over 400 panels carved with flowers, badges and heraldry.
