Myddelton memorial at St Mary's Church, Chirk
Memorial to Sir Thomas Myddelton and his wife Mary Napier. This Sir Thomas was prominent as Sergeant Major General of the Parliamentary forces in North Wales in the Civil War. His zeal for the cause moderated and after the execution of Charles I abated, and in 1659 he joined the Cheshire Rising proclaiming Charles II as king in Wrexham market place.
