For some reason Marston's has shortened the name of this canalside pub from the Poacher's Pocket to the Poachers. It is seen here early in the morning and the car park is almost empty.

Updating the 'Poachers Pocket'
The Poacher Pocket pub has been closed all winter to enable a complete refurbishment to take place. This is the kind of pub that is thriving when many are falling by the wayside. Situated in the right place beside a canal and a small out of town retail park, it serves food and provides indoor and outdoor facilities.

Derelict buildings at Gledrid Farm
A farm steading that is squeezed between the A5 & B5070 and cut off from the land when the new A5 was built. The B5070 was the A5, built as a Toll Road in the early 19th century by Thomas Telford.
