Wrexham Drill Hall, Poyser Street
Wrexham Drill Hall was built in Poyser Street in 1902 for the 4th Battalion, The Royal Welch Fusiliers. The house on the right seems to have been built as part of the Drill Hall complex, however, the 1911 census records that a school caretaker John Price Jones lived there, presumably to look after the Victoria Board Schools on the other side of the hall. There is a fine dragon shield above the centre door that names the architect as M J Gummow, and Davies Bros, Builders - see: Image
