Derelict Dinosaur

Plaque on Willow Bridge, Salop Road - west parapet
This plaque is on the West parapet of Willow Bridge and records that the bridge was built in 1877 by Peter Walker of the Willow Brewery. Willow Bridge
Despite its unprepossessing appearance this bridge has famous connections. It was erected by Peter Walker of the brewery of the same name whose brother was responsible for building the Walker Art Gallery.

Willow Bridge
Almost overgrown by every other pervasive herb & shrub, beside its namesake the River Gwenfro, which passes below the road bridge known as Willow Bridge heeds none of its famous connections.
