Flood defence banks at Bangor-is-y-coed
Bangor-is-y-coed is on the floodplain of the Afon Dyfrdwy and has a complete ring of flood protection banks which although the town is often cut off in the winter, it is rarely seriously flooded. The steps up and down are to help prevent damage to the grass banks with foot traffic.

High Street, Bangor-is-y-coed, and a fuel pump
The white top of this old fuel pump still has the faint words 'NOT FOR RESALE', so it must have been for the use of a local commercial enterprise. The next section of the building is 'The Middle Shop, News Agents, Groceries, Snacks, Refreshments'. The right turn ahead is for the Whitchurch Road.
