Footpath beside security fence
The fence surrounds a huge cleared area which was once the site of Brymbo Steelworks. The site is being re-developed with an expanding housing estate

Brymbo Heritage Site
A general view of the remains of the Brymbo Steelworks from the furnace charging bank. To the left is the machine shop built in 1920. In the centre is 'Old No.1' Blast furnace which was built by John Wilkinson in the 1790s which continued to make iron until 1894. Behind the furnace is the foundry which operated in the furnace old casting house.

Brymbo Heritage Site
Two Cupolas at the old Brymbo Steelworks. These were used to melt iron for casting in the foundry. The last 'tap' of iron was in 1985.

Site of Brymbo (GC) Station by Brymbo Steelworks
View NW, towards buffer-stops; terminus of ex-Great Central (Wrexham, Mold & Connah's Quay section) branch from Wrexham. This station last saw passengers on 1/3/1917, goods in 4/1956!
