Church of St Andrew, Countesthorpe
I had forgotten that the hard Charnwood 'granite' - of which this church is built - is not confined to the area north of Leicester; important quarries still exist west of Countesthorpe. For history:

St Andrew's Church, Countesthorpe
Built in the early 13th Century this church was restored in 1840 and with further work in 1907. The tower is 14th century.
