Old House, Kibworth Harcourt
A surprising little number from 1678, with a central upper window topped by a swan-neck pediment breaking into the roof. The Tuscan porch is probably C18th. The listing comments that "Old House is remarkable for its period, both because the use of brick is early for this district, and as an example of the fully developed Renaissance house. Although fairly common in the Home Counties this type is rare in Leicestershire before the beginning of the 18th Century." Grade I listed. The date of the picture is uncertain.
