Drystone wall at Billa Barra Local Nature Reserve
Billa Barra hill was designated as a Local Nature Reserve of the "urban fringe" type in 1999.An old slate quarry on the west is used for bouldering. The photograph shows part of a circular drystone wall surrounding a small copse on the summit.

Charnwood Noon Column
Located in the Billa Barra Hill Local Nature Reserve. One of six sculptures within The National Forest, it was created by the artist David Nash and is made of English Oak. At noon on midsummer and midwinter's days the sun will shine through the vertical slot.
