Carved stone post by the A447, in parish of IBSTOCK (NORTH WEST LEICESTERSHIRE District), by newsagents, No. 65 Melbourne Road, opposite Valley Road, in pavement by shop door, on South side of road. Hinckley stone, erected by the Hinckley & Melbourne turnpike trust in the 19th century. Defaced.

Ibstock: landmark sculpture and time capsule
This attractive sculpture, on the corner of the A447 Hinckley Road and High Street, celebrates the history, industrial heritage and environment of Ibstock. It was created by the artist Ailsa Magnus.
In it is a time capsule which was created in 1997 and which will be opened in 2020.
