Old Milestone by the A447, Melbourne Road, Ibstock
Carved stone post by the A447, in parish of IBSTOCK (NORTH WEST LEICESTERSHIRE District), by newsagents, No. 65 Melbourne Road, opposite Valley Road, in pavement by shop door, on South side of road. Hinckley stone, erected by the Hinckley & Melbourne turnpike trust in the 19th century. Defaced. Inscription read/reads:- : (Hinkley) / 10½ : : (Nottingham) / 25 : Milestone Society National ID: LE_HKBH10.
