Whissendine windmill - winnower
The rare sight of a working winnowing machine for cleaning grain. This is a commercially working mill and there is grain and flour everywhere. This is an annexe connected to the ground floor of the mill but is an important survivor. Whissendine is one of the best mills in the country both for atmosphere and sheer quantity of machinery crammed into a tower mill.

Whissendine Windmill - Great Spur Wheel
A view of the large wheel, there are three stone nuts attached. However there are four pairs of stones, this is because the fourth is underdriven via an electric motor.

Whissendine Windmill - Stone Floor
The winter wonderland, but it's not snow, it's flour! There are three visible here but currently four pairs of stones. One (to the left out of view) is underdriven via an electric motor.
