Footpath at Long Clawson
Successive diversions of this path around the site of Long Clawson Dairies has made it far from the short cut from the Nether Broughton road into the village that it once was. Nonetheless it probably makes a convenient route for dog-walkers.

Footpath proposed for closure
This section of the footpath between Long Clawson and Hickling has been overtaken by expansion of the dairy, passing through the northern part of the site. A new diversion further to the north is proposed to replace it.

View into Long Clawson Dairy
The dairy is now a large industrial site. It is a major supplier of cheese, with Stilton a speciality. The extent of the staff car park – this is only a small part – gives an idea of its size.
