This is the Nottingham to Melton Mowbray road, now the A 606 trunk road. Local postbox (ref:Le 14 121) and bus stop. The latter is labelled 'Five counties', the service between Peterborough and Nottingham covering parts of Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire, Rutland, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire.

Mixed stone and brick cottages on Main Street. The village lies on the west side of the A606 Melton - Nottingham Road. The white house at the far centre of the picture is on the other side of the main road.

Home Farmhouse, Ab Kettleby
Mid to late 17th century, with distinctive 'Stamford' gable on the projecting bay. One of very few buildings in the district to retain a thatched roof. Listed Grade II.

The Old Vicarage, Ab Kettleby
The three left hand bays are the original 18th century house, dated 1769 on the downpipe, the right hand bay being an early 19th century extension. It is probable that the hipped roof was all rebuilt at this time. Listed Grade II.
