High Street bridge
The bridge carries High Street over the Midland main line. The original cast iron structure has been replaced by a concrete structure but the attractive spandrel panels have been retained.

Up mineral at Barrow-on-Soar
View NW, towards Trent, Derby/Nottingham etc.: ex-Midland Main Line from St Pancras. BR 9F 2-10-0 No. 92134 (built 6/57, withdrawn 12/66 and preserved, now at Crewe Heritage Centre) is one of numerous heavy freight locomotives - the 2-10-0s having a short life, allocated to Wellingborough and engaged on the heavy coal traffic up this main line. It is passing Barrow-on-Soar station (later rebuilt further south) on the Up Goods line. (See also Image]).
