Hard to tell from the outside, and particularly from this direction, these two cottages are actually 17th century in origin and despite extensive modification over time, they were Grade II listed https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101229798-1-and-3-watling-street-mountsorrel#.XZrkQEZKhPY & https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1229798 in 1975.

30 Market Place, Mountsorrel
Despite the modern appearance, no 30 (with its carriage entrance on the left) is in fact mid 19th century in origin, and was Grade II listed https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101287347-30-market-place-mountsorrel#.XZ4fT0ZKjIU & https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1287347 in 1978. At that time, it was rendered, the coating now removed.
