Great Central Railway at Rushcliffe, looking south
Built as England's last major main line, the Great Central Railway is largely faded glory. This stretch from Rushcliffe to Loughborough is still open for freight traffic to the gypsum works, and also sees occasional passenger operation from the transport Heritage Centre at Ruddington.
