Chain Bridge, Loughborough
The Leicester Navigation meets the Loughborough Navigation just beyond this bridge and boaters should turn right to continue their journey to the River Trent. The bridge is so-called because a chain was at one time placed across the canal here at night to prevent boats sneaking through without paying the toll.
