Old Milestone by the B4668, Milestone House, Hinckley parish
Metal plate attached to stone post by the B4668 (was A47), in parish of HINCKLEY (HINCKLEY AND BOSWORTH District), entrance to Milestone House, opposite entrance to golf club, on the verge, on Northwest side of road. Leicester iron plate, erected by the Hinckley & Narborough turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- TO HINCKLEY 1 TO LEICESTER 12 Carved benchmark on lower face. Milestone Society National ID: LE_HKLE01.
